Infrared photography has always been of use for scientific or research purposes, but since its introduction to photography enthusiasts, may have used this technique for artistic expression. In this series, this technique (infrared photography) has been used to capture many familiar images of Iranian architecture. I have had many motivations but perhaps the most import factor has been my preoccupation with the great history and heritage of our country. In these photographs, which have been made during numerous visits to different parts of Iran, I aim to de-familiarize the audience by showing a different picture of the familiar buildings and sites. The goal is not to cause their erasing from the memory, but to refresh their image in the minds of the audience.
